Are you a good witch or a bad witch?

You see a group of figures shouting and throwing strange ingredients into a bubbling cauldron. The question is raised: are they evil monsters making a noxious potion, or a group of elderly women arguing over what to make for dinner?

Hag coveys, voodoo tribes, and magical midwives make up the various witch circles and organizations, who differ widely in alignment, temperament and skills. Dr. Haiduc, Nanny Ogg, and other witches can learn new spells and abilities from other witches and their familiars, so they are always interested in hearing about new witch circles.

Circles Discovered[]

  1. Willowdale Tea Circle - Nanny Ogg leads the witches of Willowdale, who mostly play bridge and visit Dr. Haiduc after church every Sunday (even though they keep assuming that he is Nanny Ogg's grandson).
  2. Sisters of Sand - The Janni witch women of the desert are friendly to Pathfinders, and can sometimes be found in a cave in the Dead Canyons.
  3. Frost Hag Circle - A group of Qallapilliut hags meet in the Everice. They are wary of humans, except for children, whom they are known to kidnap. They are unfriendly to the Pathfinders, save Dr. Haiduc.
  4. Night Hag Circle - A group of night hags once lived in the very center of the Witch Woods in a strange cottage, giving unfortunate ends to the lives of those who would travel in their domain. They, and their house, were destroyed.
  5. Green Hag Circle - Three green hags have been spotted in the Farsang Fens, dancing about a cauldren in the swamps. The Pathfinders opted not to reveal themselves to them.
  6. Night Hag Circle - A group of energy-draining hags roam the Barbarian Highlands in the chill of the night. They have not been seen by the Pathfinders, but the effects of their fell nightmares have been experienced first-hand.
  7. Sea Hag Circle - A group of sea hags was seen swimming around a scuppered sea vessel near the Rheic Shores.
  8. Frost Hag Circle - A group of very powerful and wise Qallapilliut roam the Tethys Ice Floes. They can provide great wisdom and insight, should the questioner be willing to pay their price.

Possible Circles[]

  1. Montane Savannah - Dusk hags occaisonally venture into the Material Plane, perhaps near the Ashen Plains.
  2. Western Rainforest - Valconey tells tales of voodoo shamans from Vaalbara who practise jungle magics.
  3. Mountains - Dusk hags, omens of fate, are known to exist in dry rocky areas, and are known for their divinations.
